3x12 runner rugs in premium New Zealand wool — a 3-foot-wide runner at longer hallway scale, suited to extended corridors, kitchen galley runs, and open staircases. Hand-knotted and hand-tufted by master artisans in Bhadohi, India. Every design available in custom lengths.

3x12 Runner Rugs: The Long Corridor

At 12 feet, a runner covers the full length of most residential hallways with room to spare. For corridors that run longer than the standard 8-to-10-foot range — extended gallery halls, long passages between rooms, kitchen runs alongside an extended island — the 3x12 is the made-to-order answer to a search that most retailers can't fill from stock.

The 3-foot width is consistent with a broader corridor proportion. In a hallway that runs 4 feet or more across, a 3-foot runner leaves the right margin of floor on each side — enough to frame the rug, not so much that the runner looks stranded in the middle. On a staircase, the 3-foot width suits wider treads where a standard 2.5-foot runner would leave too much exposed on each side. The 12-foot length covers most open staircase runs from landing to landing without requiring a custom cut.
