our story
A Note From the Founder
I grew up watching my grandmother sew. I would draw pieces for her to make and watch them become something real. I became fascinated by the role material, proportion, and construction played in that transformation.
Years later, I was drawn to rugs for many of the same reasons. They gave me a way to work with shape, geometry, and color at an entirely different scale, and to see those ideas take form in wool. I taught myself to make them, which gave me a direct understanding of the medium and helped define the kind of work I wanted to create.
I launched Jubi in 2021 with a collection I had built from the ground up. Since then, the work has expanded across new forms, constructions, and commissions, but original design remains at the center of everything we make.
