What can I customize in the Jubi Customizer?
Start with a Jubi design and choose your dimensions, available shape, and palette. As you change the size or shape, the design adjusts to the proportions you select so the preview reflects the rug you’re creating.
Can I order an exact size or custom shape?
Yes. Dimensions can be entered down to the inch in the Jubi Customizer, with available shapes varying by design. For oversized, irregular, or architectural shapes beyond the options shown online, contact the studio.
Can I request colors not shown in the Jubi Customizer?
Yes. The Jubi Customizer includes 55 wool colors curated for online customization. Our studio works from a library of more than 3,000 colors and can help with a specific shade or custom match.
What’s the difference between customizing a Jubi design and a bespoke commission?
Customization starts with an existing Jubi design, which can be adapted in size, shape, and palette. A bespoke commission starts with a new brief and is developed directly with our studio as an original design.
Can I see samples before ordering?
Yes. A rug swatch is a 12 × 12 in. sample of a specific design and colorway, $95 each, and up to three are credited toward a rug order within 90 days. The Jubi Wool Palette holds all 55 Customizer colors and is lent against a fully refundable $150 deposit, so you can check the wools in your own light. Order both at samples.shop-jubi.com.
How long does a custom rug take?
Lead time depends on construction. Tufted rugs typically take 3–4 weeks; hand-knotted rugs typically take 6–7 weeks. Bespoke commissions may require additional time for design development or sampling.
Is there a minimum order for custom rugs?
No. Custom rugs can be ordered as individual pieces. For multi-rug, hospitality, or commercial projects, our Trade Program offers dedicated support.
Are custom rugs returnable?
Because custom rugs are made to your specifications, they are final sale. We recommend reviewing color or rug samples before ordering if you’d like to confirm materials in person.
Every Jubi rug begins as an original design from our New York studio. Each one can be made in the size, shape, and palette a particular room needs, handwoven to order in our Bhadohi studio in India. For a project that starts from a brief rather than a design in the collection, the studio works with you directly.

Bespoke commissions
For a rug that doesn't yet exist, our studio develops it with you. Come with a brief, a sketch, or finished artwork. An original design commission starts from your brief ($300 design fee, one concept and two revisions). A client-supplied design is artwork you bring, which we prepare for production ($150 deposit, applied to the rug). Irregular shapes, stair runners, large installations, and branded rugs for hospitality all begin here.
Best for: original designs, unusual shapes, and commercial projects.

What to expect
A custom rug is made the same way as every Jubi rug: designed in New York and handwoven to order in our Bhadohi studio, in New Zealand wool, by the same hands and in the same constructions as the collection. What changes is the specification: size, shape, palette, and for bespoke work the design itself.
Production and lead times
Hand-tufted rugs are made to order in 3–4 weeks. Hand-knotted, hand-loomed, and hand-woven rugs take 6–7 weeks. Shipping is free worldwide, duties included, and takes about a week. Bespoke projects may need extra time before production for design development, approvals, or sampling. Customized and bespoke rugs are final sale.
