A rich brown field is marked by vertical tan lines that bend and split like natural grain patterns. The spacing shifts subtly from stripe to stripe, giving the surface depth that reads differently as you move past it. In runner form, the pattern feels elongated and grounded, adding warmth and texture along a corridor or entry.

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. It also takes dye deeply, which is what gives the colors their depth. Some initial shedding is normal and settles within the first few weeks. Why New Zealand wool →

Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen over time. Vacuum regularly with the beater bar set to the highest setting. If loose ends appear, clip with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning only. See our rug care guide for more tips.

Shipping: Tufted rugs are handmade to order and typically take 2–3 weeks to produce and dispatch. Once shipped, delivery takes 3–5 business days via DHL Express. We offer complimentary worldwide shipping on all rugs.

Returns: Rugs may be returned within 15 days of delivery. A restocking fee may apply. Read our return policy for full details.

Sizing a Runner for a Hallway or Kitchen

A runner asks for proportion before pattern. As a rule, leave a few inches of bare floor on each long side and at each end so the rug frames the space rather than covering it wall to wall, and let a hallway runner stop short of doorways so it does not bunch where doors swing. Bark suits this placement well: its vertical lines run with the length of the piece, so the branching grain leads the eye forward down a corridor or along a kitchen galley instead of fighting the room's direction.

Hand-tufting gives the surface its footfeel. Artisans set New Zealand wool through a stretched foundation by hand, then carve and shear each line into low relief, so the runner stays plush in the high-traffic lanes where runners earn their keep. In a kitchen, that cushioned pile also eases long stretches at the counter.

Because the lines branch rather than repeat at a fixed interval, a longer runner never looks like a cut length of pattern: the grain keeps evolving down the full run, so even a long piece reads as one continuous surface. See more lengths in our Runner Rugs collection, or explore the wider Abstract Rugs range. Every Jubi rug is made to order, so Bark can be woven to your exact run of floor.
