About Jubi

We create original design-forward rugs in custom sizes, shapes, and colors. Each piece is handmade to order by artisans in Bhadohi, India using pure New Zealand wool.

Our Story

Jubi started in a Brooklyn apartment in 2021, born from a simple frustration: rugs were either mass-produced and generic, or custom and inaccessible.

Founder Cassie Dagostino taught herself to tuft using a homemade frame, creating bold geometric designs that brought color and movement into her space. What began as personal pieces for her home evolved into a design practice focused on creating rugs as functional design objects.

Today, every Jubi rug is designed in Brooklyn and handmade to order by master artisans in Bhadohi, India. We use traditional rug-making techniques and pure New Zealand wool to create each piece in custom sizes, shapes, and colors.

Design Philosophy

Every Jubi rug starts as an original design in our Brooklyn studio. We focus on bold geometry, sculptural shapes, and modern color palettes—but always with function in mind.

We design for how rugs interact with furniture, anchor seating areas, and guide movement through a room. Proportion, scale, and edge detail are refined through multiple iterations until each piece feels balanced in real spaces, not just on paper.

The result: rugs as functional design objects that define space and improve how rooms work.

Handmade in Bhadohi

Every Jubi rug is crafted by master artisans in Bhadohi, India—the world's rug-making capital for over 400 years.

We work with skilled craftspeople who specialize in hand-tufting, hand-knotting, and traditional weaving techniques. Each rug is made to order, dyed in your chosen colors, and built to your exact specifications. Production takes 2-5 weeks depending on technique.

This approach means no inventory, no waste, and no shortcuts. Every piece is made specifically for its owner.
