Where It All Began
I taught myself to make rugs in my Brooklyn apartment using a homemade tufting frame built with help from my dad. I had just moved in with my grandmother, a seamstress from Italy, and we reconnected through our shared love of fabric and craft, spending hours cutting and stitching side by side.
I began designing rugs for our home—pieces that brought texture, color, and movement into the space we shared.
What started as one rug quickly became a studio practice, and eventually, a business. Today, Jubi works with skilled artisans around the world to create rugs that combine bold, original design with traditional craftsmanship.
