About Jubi

We create original rugs where shape and color work together to define a space. Designed in Brooklyn and handmade to order by artisans in Bhadohi, India, each piece is customizable in size, silhouette, and palette.

Our Story

Jubi began in a Brooklyn apartment in 2021, born from a simple frustration: rugs were either mass-produced and generic, or truly custom but inaccessible.

Founder Cassie Dagostino taught herself to tuft using a homemade frame, creating pieces that solved the odd proportions and architectural quirks of her own space. What started as personal experiments evolved into a design practice centered on rugs as functional, expressive design objects.

Today, every Jubi rug is designed in Brooklyn and handmade to order by master artisans in Bhadohi, India. We work only with pure New Zealand wool and traditional rug-making techniques, creating each piece in custom sizes, silhouettes, and colors.

Design Philosophy

Every Jubi rug begins as an original design in our Brooklyn studio. We focus on thoughtful shapes, modern geometry, and color palettes that can be personalized for each space.

Form comes first: how a rug interacts with furniture, anchors a room, and guides movement. Color follows as the emotional layer — the element that shifts how a room feels. Proportion, scale, and edge details are refined through multiple iterations until each design feels balanced in real spaces, not just on paper.

The result is a collection of rugs that function as architectural tools: defining space, supporting flow, and enhancing how a room works and feels.

Handmade in Bhadohi

Every Jubi rug is crafted by master artisans in Bhadohi, India—the world's rug-making capital for over 400 years.

We work with skilled craftspeople who specialize in hand-tufting, hand-knotting, and traditional weaving techniques. Each rug is made to order, dyed in your chosen colors, and built to your exact specifications. Production takes 2-5 weeks depending on technique.

This approach means no inventory, no waste, and no shortcuts. Every piece is made specifically for its owner.
