A red striped rug gives a room a warm center of gravity, the lines lending order while the color carries real heat. Interval in red works because its pattern is built, not loud: short bars stack into offset columns rather than running as plain stripes, so the red reads rich and structured at once. That repeating, broken-stripe rhythm has a mid-century modern feel, the restrained geometry the era was known for, which is why a red Interval settles in beside wood tones, brass, and low, clean-lined furniture. Run the columns along the room's longest line, and balance the terracotta with creams and neutrals so the warmth grounds rather than overwhelms. In a dining room it makes the table feel gathered; in a den it gives the whole space a settled, lived-in warmth.
Hand-knotting keeps the red pattern exact. Tied knot by knot around the foundation in Bhadohi, the rug builds a dense, durable body that holds the bar edges crisp through years of use and deepens in tone as it ages.
