An ombre rug runner does something a flat-colored one cannot: it gives a long, narrow space direction. In Tiers, the gradient runs the length of the runner from pale amber to deep brick rust, so a hall or galley kitchen gains a sense of movement and warmth as you walk it. For placement, leave a few inches of floor on either side so the runner feels intentional rather than wall-to-wall, and center it on the path of travel so the bands lead the eye cleanly down the corridor.
Hand-tufting is what carries the gradient through the surface. Artisans set New Zealand wool through a stretched foundation by hand, then shear and carve each rounded band into gentle relief, and the 0.75 inch pile keeps a high-traffic runner soft and cushioned underfoot. That depth is difficult to hold in a flatweave runner, which is why the technique suits graded color so well.
Explore the design in our Runner Rugs, along with our Round Rugs and Square Rugs shapes. Every Jubi rug is made to order, so Tiers can run the full length your hallway calls for.
