Maze is an art deco rug of interlocking right-angle paths, a labyrinth you trace with a finger, parted by a band of stripes that runs through the middle. In the Jubi Customizer you enter the exact dimensions down to the inch, choose a shape, and set the palette, with custom colors for the two close tones. The maze adapts by extending its corridors: a longer rug gains more turns above and below the central band, a wider one more passages across, and every line keeps its width, so a 9 by 12 is as dense as a 5 by 8. Fifty-five colors are curated for online customization, and more than 3,000 are available through the studio.
Designed in New York and hand-tufted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.75 inch pile carved to two heights, so the paths read as relief as much as color. Production takes 2 to 3 weeks, and it ships free worldwide, duties included.
