Construction: Hand-knotted shag

Material: 100% New Zealand wool

Dimensions: Standard sizes available online, with fully custom sizes on request

Pile Height: 1"

Origin: Handmade in Bhadohi, India — a region renowned for fine carpet weaving

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. It also takes dye deeply, which is what gives the colors their depth. Some initial shedding is normal and settles within the first few weeks. Why New Zealand wool →

Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen with use. Vacuum regularly on a high-pile setting. Clip loose ends with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning recommended.

See our rug care guide for more tips.

Shipping: Knotted shag rugs are handmade to order and typically ship within 5–6 weeks. Once dispatched, delivery takes 3–5 business days via DHL Express. We offer complimentary worldwide shipping on all rugs.

More from Our Collection

Layering a Light Gray Boho Rug

A light gray boho rug works best as a quiet base layer. The pale field reflects light and opens up a room, making it a natural anchor under a darker sofa, woven furniture, or a bolder accent piece, while the Moroccan diamond lattice adds enough hand-drawn texture to keep the neutral from going flat. Set it in a bedroom where the soft shag feels good first thing in the morning, or use it to lighten a room with heavy walls or low light.

Hand-knotting gives the pale shag its substance. Each knot is tied by hand around the foundation by artisans in Bhadohi, then held at an extended pile height for a dense, plush surface that stays soft and resilient underfoot through daily use.
