Sizing a Round Hexagon Rug
A round hexagon rug asks for a slightly different eye than a rectangle. With Honeycomb, the clustered cells pull toward the center, so the piece works best where its circle can sit clear of straight walls: under a round dining table, beneath a coffee table in a seating group, or centered in an entry where it can be read from every side. Measure for even reveal of floor around the edge rather than matching it to a rectangular footprint, and let the diameter follow the furniture it anchors rather than the room's longest wall.
Hand-tufting builds the cells by hand. Artisans set New Zealand wool through a stretched foundation, then carve and shear so the golden borders stand above the amber centers in gentle relief, a sculpted line that gives the round its tactile depth.
