A blue striped rug brings a room a cool, settling order, the lines drawing the eye along while the tone keeps everything calm. Interval in blue does this with structure: rather than continuous stripes it stacks short bars into offset columns, so the pattern reads rhythmic and considered instead of plain. That repeating, broken-stripe beat has a mid-century modern character, the restrained geometry that era favored, which is why a blue Interval sits so well with wood, warm metals, and low, clean furniture. Run the columns toward the longest wall to stretch the space, and pair the blue with creams and tans to let the pattern breathe. In a bedroom it cools the room down; in a living area it anchors the seating without pulling focus.
Hand-knotting keeps the blue pattern exact. Tied knot by knot around the foundation in Bhadohi, the rug builds a dense, durable body that holds the bar edges crisp through years of use and only softens underfoot with age.
