A chevron runner rug asks for a little planning, because the format only works when the length suits the space. In a hallway, leave a few inches of floor on either side so the scalloped edges read as a deliberate border rather than wall-to-wall carpet, and let the rug stop short of the doorways at each end. In a kitchen, a runner like Zig Zag sits well along a galley between counters, where the climbing black-and-white wave gives a working zone a clear graphic spine.
Hand-tufting suits the long format. Artisans set New Zealand wool through a stretched backing by hand, then carve the surface so the cream ribbon stands just above the black ground, holding the curve crisply along the full run. That hand-carved relief keeps a narrow rug from looking flat underfoot.
If your hall runs long, a single piece can stretch the full length without seams, and if it is short, the wave simply crops to fit. See more lengths in our Runner Rugs collection, and companion formats in Round Rugs and Square Rugs. Every Jubi rug is made to order, so the runner can be woven to your exact dimensions.
