Placing a Geometric Runner in a Hallway
A geometric runner has a job most rugs do not: it has to lead. Golden Geometry suits that role because its composition already moves, the golden circle anchoring one end while the carved bands travel the length like a horizon line drawn along the floor. In a hallway, leave a few inches of flooring on either side so the runner reads as a deliberate path rather than wall-to-wall covering, and let the circle sit toward the entry so it greets the eye first.
Hand-tufting gives a runner the durability and softness a high-traffic strip needs. New Zealand wool is set through the backing by hand, then sheared and carved so the bands hold their crisp edges and gentle relief even where footsteps land most. That carved surface also helps a long, narrow rug feel substantial rather than thin, with the raised bands giving the runner a little weight and warmth underfoot as you pass through.
