Material and Make

New Zealand wool, dyed to your palette.

Hand-tufted rugs are made by working yarn through a stretched canvas, then shearing and sculpting the pile by hand. The result is a dense, soft surface with clean edges to every shape, and the freedom to carve texture into the design.

Mosaic Oval is hand-tufted to order in Jubi’s Bhadohi studio. Its 100% New Zealand wool is dyed to the palette you choose, then the finished rug is bound and checked by hand before it ships.

Designing a Custom Tile Rug to Fit Your Room

A tile rug rewards customizing because every block is a decision. Built on interlocking facets rather than a single repeating motif, Neutral Mosaic lets you treat the surface like a composition, holding the warm earth tones it was drawn with or shifting the panels toward whatever a space already carries. Working in an oval keeps the geometry from feeling severe, the curved edge easing the architectural blocks so they settle under a round table or in a softer corner.

Size matters as much as color. Because the design is a fitted arrangement of shapes, scaling it up gives each block more room to breathe, while a smaller oval reads tighter and more graphic. The customizer lets you set exact dimensions so the proportions land right for the floor you have.

Hand-tufting makes the carved relief possible, artisans setting New Zealand wool by hand and shearing the surface so ribbed and smooth facets stand apart. See the shape in other designs across our Oval Rugs collection. Every Jubi rug is made to order, this one to your exact size and palette.
