A deep, leafy green base gives this hand-knotted wool rug a grounded, almost garden-like feel, with darker octagon shapes linked across the surface in a steady, architectural rhythm. The pattern reads clearly without overpowering the color, letting the green stay rich and dimensional. Knotted entirely by hand, the rug has a dense, tactile surface that adds weight and structure to living rooms, bedrooms, or dining spaces where a strong color and graphic pattern can anchor the room.

Construction: Hand-knotted

Material: 100% New Zealand wool

Dimensions: Standard sizes available online, with fully custom sizes on request

Pile Height: 0.5"

Origin: Handmade in Bhadohi, India — a region renowned for fine carpet weaving

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. It also takes dye deeply, which is what gives the colors their depth. Some initial shedding is normal and settles within the first few weeks. Why New Zealand wool →

Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen with use. Vacuum regularly on a high-pile setting. Clip loose ends with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning recommended.

See our rug care guide for more tips.

Working a Green Geometric Rug into a Room

A geometric rug in green brings a grounded, organic calm to a space while keeping the discipline of a clear, repeating pattern. In Octagon Link, the linked octagons set up an even rhythm, and the color softens it, reading as natural rather than stark. It sits well with wood tones, woven textures, and plenty of daylight, where the connecting grid stays a fine structure beneath the color and lets the room breathe.

Hand-knotting holds that structure precisely. Each knot is tied by hand around the foundation, so the octagons keep their even sides and the slim links between them stay sharp even at large sizes. The slow, hand-tied process is what lets the design carry that much fine detail without blurring. The low 0.5 inch pile makes a dense, durable surface that wears well in everyday rooms, and lies flat enough for furniture to rest squarely on top. Because the pattern repeats evenly, the rug keeps its balance across small accent sizes and wide room-spanning ones alike, the motif simply extending to fill the space.
