2x4 wool rugs in modern designs — hand-tufted and hand-knotted in premium New Zealand wool by master artisans in Bhadohi, India. Entry accents, kitchen placements, and bedside runners in a proportionally narrow format. Every design available in custom sizes.

2x4 Rugs: Between Accent and Runner

The 2x4 sits between a square accent rug and a short runner — narrow enough to feel directional, long enough to do more than a 2x3 can. In an entry, those extra 12 inches create space for the rug to extend past the door and into the hall, bridging the threshold more fully. In a kitchen alongside a counter or sink, the proportions fit the narrow working corridor. Beside a bed, the 2x4 provides a generous landing strip on one side without requiring the scale of a full 3x5.
