4x7 wool rugs in modern designs — a narrow, elongated format for hallways, kitchens, and entry passages where standard runner widths feel too narrow and standard area rug proportions feel too wide. Hand-knotted and hand-tufted in premium New Zealand wool by master artisans in Bhadohi, India. Every design available in custom sizes.

4x7 Rugs: Wide Runner, Narrow Area Rug

The 4x7 exists in the space between runner and area rug — too wide at 4 feet to feel like a corridor runner, too narrow relative to its length to anchor a standard room arrangement. That in-between quality is exactly what makes it useful for the spaces where it belongs: a wider kitchen galley where 3 feet feels tight and a full area rug would block the flow, an entry hall that needs more length than a 4x6 provides but where a 4x8 would extend past the threshold or into an adjacent space, a long narrow room where the rug needs to run with the space rather than across it.
