5x7 wool rugs in modern designs — hand-knotted and hand-tufted in premium New Zealand wool by master artisans in Bhadohi, India. A versatile medium size suited to smaller living rooms, dining tables, and queen bedroom placements. Every design available in custom sizes.

5x7 Rugs: The Versatile Medium

The 5x7 is one of the most widely searched rug sizes for a reason: it fits more rooms than almost any other dimension in the medium range. In a smaller living room, a 5x7 front-legs-on anchors a sofa and one or two chairs with the rug extending 12 to 18 inches beyond the sofa on each side — the standard proportion that makes a seating group feel anchored rather than floating. In a dining room for four, it extends comfortably beyond a rectangular table with chair clearance on all sides. Under a queen bed positioned toward the foot, it shows generously on both sides and at the bed's end.
