A soft golden ground is framed by a deeper border, giving the rug its defined edge. At the center, fine horizontal lines interrupt the field, introducing subtle texture within the expanse of wool. Hand-knotted with careful precision, the design carries a layered depth that feels refined and enduring. Featured here in a space designed by Persistent Objects Interiors.

Construction: Hand-knotted

Material: 100% New Zealand wool

Dimensions: Standard sizes available online, with fully custom sizes on request

Pile Height: 0.5"

Origin: Handmade in Bhadohi, India — a region renowned for fine carpet weaving

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. It also takes dye deeply, which is what gives the colors their depth. Some initial shedding is normal and settles within the first few weeks. Why New Zealand wool →

Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen with use. Vacuum regularly on a high-pile setting. Clip loose ends with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning recommended.

See our rug care guide for more tips.

Shipping: Knotted rugs are handmade to order and typically ship within 5–6 weeks. Once dispatched, delivery takes 3–5 business days via DHL Express. We offer complimentary worldwide shipping on all rugs.

Returns: Rugs may be returned within 15 days of delivery with a 15% restocking fee. Custom rugs are final sale, except in cases of shipping damage. Read our return policy for full details.

What Makes a Golden Geometric Rug Work in a Room

A geometric rug in a warm gold palette behaves differently from a high-contrast one. Golden Harmony keeps its dashes close in tone to the field, so the pattern reveals itself slowly and the overall effect stays calm and grounding rather than graphic. That makes the Golden colorway a natural warm neutral, settling easily beside oak, rattan, cream upholstery, and brass, and bringing a low, sunlit glow to a living room or bedroom without overpowering what surrounds it. The deeper caramel border defines the edges and pulls a seating arrangement together.

Hand-knotting gives the design its precision. Each knot is tied by hand to build a dense, fine surface, and the firm low pile holds the stacked horizontal marks crisply so the geometry never softens into a blur. That same density makes a knotted rug exceptionally durable, the kind of piece that holds its detail for decades.
