Every Jubi rug is made from 100% New Zealand wool — chosen for its long staple fibers, natural softness, and durability. Its natural lanolin provides inherent stain resistance, and its ability to take dye produces rich, lasting color.
Some initial shedding is normal with natural wool and typically settles within the first few weeks of regular use.
Fourth-generation weaving families in Bhadohi, India — the historic center of handmade rug production — make every Jubi rug to order. Each piece is knotted entirely by hand, row by row, producing exceptional density and a surface of refined, tactile depth.

A southwestern runner rug brings warmth and structure to the narrow paths a full rug cannot cover, and Desert Matrix suits the job because its pattern already reads in one direction. The grid of small squares steps evenly down the length while the dashed side borders draw the eye forward, so a hallway, entry, or galley kitchen gains a sense of movement without turning loud. The warm camel ground keeps it grounded rather than graphic, easy to set against wood floors, natural fibers, and the hard surfaces a kitchen tends to have.
For placement, leave a few inches of floor showing on each long side so the runner frames the path, and stop it short of the doorways at either end. In a kitchen, a single run along the working aisle adds a soft, structured surface underfoot during long stretches at the counter. Hand-knotting is what keeps the geometry crisp over that length, each knot tied by hand on the loom so the small squares stay sharp and the runner wears evenly for years.
