Sizing a Neutral Rug When the Texture Is the Design

A heathered neutral rug carries no pattern to center or align, so the decisions that matter are size and finish. In the Jubi Customizer, start with the room rather than a standard size: measure the furniture group, then enter the dimensions to the inch so the rug sits where you want it, all four legs of the sofa on it or just the front two, a hand's width of floor showing around a bed, or a runner that stops short of each doorway. Because Haven's streaks run across the width and keep their true scale, the field looks the same at any size, so you can size freely without the surface getting coarser on a large rug or busier on a small one. Then decide the ends. A stitched binding frames the short edges with a quiet line of ivory and gives the rug a tailored, finished look; plain ends let the color run edge to edge and suit a more minimal room.
