As a runner, Tiers stretches into a long, glowing ombre rug, the rounded bands shifting from pale golden amber through honey and caramel to a deep brick rust as the eye travels the length. It draws a hall or galley kitchen forward with warmth, and the carved tiers give a corridor a sense of movement that a single flat color cannot. Designed in New York and hand-tufted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.75 inch pile that stays soft and cushioned underfoot through a high-traffic space. Made to order in any runner length, so it can run the full reach of a hallway or edge along a kitchen island. Each piece is ready in 2 to 3 weeks and ships free worldwide, duties included.

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. It also takes dye deeply, which is what gives the colors their depth. Some initial shedding is normal and settles within the first few weeks. Why New Zealand wool →

Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen over time. Vacuum regularly with the beater bar set to the highest setting. If loose ends appear, clip with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning only. See our rug care guide for more tips.

Shipping: Tufted rugs are handmade to order and typically take 2–3 weeks to produce and dispatch. Once shipped, delivery takes 3–5 business days via DHL Express. We offer complimentary worldwide shipping on all rugs.

Returns: Rugs may be returned within 15 days of delivery. A restocking fee may apply. Read our return policy for full details.

The Sketchbook

Behind The Design

A sunset rarely changes all at once. It settles in stages, each band of color holding a moment before the next warms or deepens, and that slow descent is what Tiers was drawn from.

The Craft

Made the Long Way

Your rug doesn’t exist yet. It starts when you order: master artisans spin the wool, dye it to your color, then tuft and carve it by hand.

Placing an Ombre Rug Runner in a Hallway

An ombre rug runner does something a flat-colored one cannot: it gives a long, narrow space direction. In Tiers, the gradient runs the length of the runner from pale amber to deep brick rust, so a hall or galley kitchen gains a sense of movement and warmth as you walk it. For placement, leave a few inches of floor on either side so the runner feels intentional rather than wall-to-wall, and center it on the path of travel so the bands lead the eye cleanly down the corridor.

Hand-tufting is what carries the gradient through the surface. Artisans set New Zealand wool through a stretched foundation by hand, then shear and carve each rounded band into gentle relief, and the 0.75 inch pile keeps a high-traffic runner soft and cushioned underfoot. That depth is difficult to hold in a flatweave runner, which is why the technique suits graded color so well.
