Interval turns a corner as a quarter circle: two straight edges meeting at a right angle and one long curve sweeping between them, a striped rug shaped for the place a rectangle leaves awkward. Offset columns of short stacked bars run across the field, each column stepping out of line with the one beside it, so the rhythm stays lively right up to the curved edge. Each colorway works three related tones, a deep ground with two lighter bar tones drawn from the same family, so the pattern reads as depth rather than contrast. Designed in New York and hand-knotted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from dense 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.5 inch pile, a firm low surface that holds the bar edges sharp along the curve and wears for generations. It is made to order in the proportions your corner needs, and in any of over 1,200 wool colors, so it fits a sectional, a built-in banquette, or a reading nook exactly. Each piece is ready in 5 to 6 weeks and ships free worldwide, duties included.

Construction: Hand-knotted

Material: 100% New Zealand wool

Dimensions: Standard sizes available online, with fully custom sizes on request

Pile Height: 0.5"

Origin: Handmade in Bhadohi, India — a region renowned for fine carpet weaving

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. It also takes dye deeply, which is what gives the colors their depth. Some initial shedding is normal and settles within the first few weeks. Why New Zealand wool →

Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen with use. Vacuum regularly on a high-pile setting. Clip loose ends with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning recommended.

See our rug care guide for more tips.

Our Picks for You

Fitting a Corner Rug to a Sectional

A corner rug is made for the spaces an ordinary rectangle leaves awkward: the sectional pushed into a corner, the banquette tucked into a nook, the reading chair angled against two walls. Interval suits the shape because its pattern is modular by nature, columns of stacked bars repeating in offset intervals, so nothing breaks where the field runs out to the curve. Set it with the two straight edges following the walls or the back of the sectional, and let the curve open into the room. Measure along both walls first, then decide how far the arc should reach, since that curve is what makes the rug read as a deliberate shape rather than an offcut. Because it is cut to your room, there is no overhang or bare patch where two rugs would otherwise meet.

Hand-knotting is what lets the pattern wrap a corner this cleanly. Each knot is tied by hand around the foundation in Bhadohi, building a dense, durable surface that keeps the bar edges crisp where the weave meets the arc and stays flat under furniture for years.
