This orange rug runs edge to edge in a warm clay tone, deep and saturated, leaning toward terracotta with a soft red-brown undertone. The pile is dense and matte, so the color reads grounded rather than glossy, and the surface shifts gently as it catches the light, giving a solid that feels considered instead of flat. It is the kind of orange that warms an open floor and pulls a room toward its center. Designed in New York and hand-tufted in Bhadohi, India, the rug is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.75 inch pile that gives it a soft, cushioned depth underfoot. The burnt orange is the design, so it stays exactly this tone, made to order in the size your room needs, including generous oversized floors. Each piece is ready in 2 to 3 weeks and ships free worldwide, duties included.

  • Construction: Hand-tufted
  • Composition: 100% New Zealand Wool

  • Origin: Handmade in India

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. It also takes dye deeply, which is what gives the colors their depth. Some initial shedding is normal and settles within the first few weeks. Why New Zealand wool →

Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen over time. Vacuum regularly with suction only (brushless head, no beater bar). If loose ends appear, clip with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning only. See our rug care guide for more tips.

Shipping: Tufted rugs are handmade to order and typically take 2–3 weeks to produce and dispatch. Once shipped, delivery takes 3–5 business days via DHL Express. We offer complimentary worldwide shipping on all rugs.

Returns: Rugs may be returned within 15 days of delivery. A restocking fee may apply. Read our return policy for full details.

Our Picks for You

Decorating With a Burnt Orange Rug

A burnt orange rug carries a room on color alone. This warm, terracotta-leaning clay tone reads as grounded and earthy rather than bright, which is what lets it anchor a large open floor without overwhelming it. Against pale plaster, raw wood, or cool concrete, the orange warms the whole palette and gives a minimal space a clear center of gravity. It pairs easily with cream, camel, deep brown, olive, and black, and holds its own under both modern and more collected, layered furniture.

Hand-tufting is what gives the color its depth. Working from the back of a stretched canvas, artisans in Bhadohi set New Zealand wool through the foundation by hand, then shear the surface to an even 0.75 inch pile. That density is why a solid like this looks rich and matte rather than flat, with the tone shifting subtly as the pile catches the light.
