Rugs ordered in standard sizes and colorways as shown on our product pages are eligible for return within 14 days of delivery in original condition. Rugs ordered with any customization are final sale.

Rectangular wool area rugs across the full size spectrum — hand-knotted, hand-tufted, and hand-loomed in premium New Zealand wool by master artisans in Bhadohi, India. Every design available in standard and custom dimensions. Shop by size: 6x9, 8x10, 9x12, 10x14, and beyond.

Rectangular Area Rugs: The Full Jubi Collection

The rectangular rug is the default format for good reason: it aligns with rooms, furniture, and the visual logic of most interior arrangements. The design decision isn't the shape — it's everything else. The right size for the room and the seating group. The construction that suits the traffic level and the tactile preference. The color and pattern that define the floor's contribution to the room.

Jubi's rectangular collection spans three handwoven constructions. Hand-knotted rugs — including the Interval and Octagon Link — offer the densest pile and the most durable surface in the collection, suited to the highest-traffic rooms and long-term investments. Hand-tufted rugs — including the Orchard, Fieldwork, Boxstep, and Watercolor Checkered — bring plush pile, wider color range, and strong design variety. Hand-loomed rugs offer the softest, most textile-like surface in the range. All are handwoven in premium New Zealand wool by master artisans in Bhadohi, India.

Choosing the Right Size

The most common mistake with a rectangular rug is choosing one that's too small. In a living room, the rug should be large enough for the front legs of all seating to rest on it — an 8x10 for most standard arrangements, a 9x12 for larger rooms or when all furniture legs on the rug is preferred. In a dining room, the rug must extend at least 24 inches beyond the table on all sides. In a bedroom, 18 to 24 inches of rug should show beyond the sides and foot of the bed.
