As a circle, Contour Edge becomes a single open field ringed by one continuous band, a round wool rug whose border follows the curve with no corner or seam to interrupt it. It comes in five colorways, each setting the field against a deeper tone of the same family for the frame: clay rust inside maroon, deep olive inside near-black, denim inside ink navy, plum rose inside aubergine, and fern green inside pine. A round softens a room of straight lines and anchors anything circular above it, a pedestal table, a curved chair, a breakfast nook. Designed in New York and hand-tufted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.75 inch pile that gives the surface a plush, even depth underfoot. Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen over time. Vacuum regularly with the beater bar set to the highest setting. If loose ends appear, clip with scissors (do not pull). When will my rug ship?

Tufted rugs ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Every rug is handmade to order.

What is the return policy?

Rugs ordered in standard sizes and colorways as shown on our product pages are eligible for return within 15 days of delivery in original condition. Rugs ordered with any customization are final sale.

Will my rug look exactly like the photos?

Every rug is handmade, so slight variations in color and texture are natural. Screen settings can also affect how colors appear. Order a sample to see the color and feel the wool in your space.

Sizing a Round Rug Under a Table

A round rug asks for a little planning, since its diameter has to relate to whatever sits at the center. Under a circular dining or breakfast table, allow enough rug that chairs stay on the surface when pulled out, usually a diameter several feet wider than the table itself. In a seating area, a round anchors a curved sofa or a pair of chairs and softens a room full of right angles. Because the field is solid and the only graphic note is the ring, the rug holds that footprint without competing with what sits on it, whichever colorway you choose.

Hand-tufting suits the round especially well. The wool is set by hand, so the border follows the curve cleanly all the way around with no seam to break it and the frame reads as one continuous ring. That is harder with a pattern, which must be aligned around the circle rather than drawn along it. In a smaller room, a round also visually opens the floor, since there are no corners to box the space in.
