Golden Harmony is a geometric rug that works beautifully as a runner, where its centered column of short horizontal dashes follows the long axis of a hall or galley kitchen and draws the eye gently forward. The wheat-gold field is framed by a deeper caramel border, and the stacked marks sit quietly down the middle, gathering toward the center so they give a narrow space rhythm without clutter. Designed in New York and hand-knotted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.5 inch pile, a firm low surface that keeps each dash crisp and wears well in high-traffic runs. Made to order in any size and any of over 1,200 wool colors, so the length can match your corridor exactly, from a short entry to a long passage. Each runner is ready in 5 to 6 weeks and ships free worldwide, duties included.

Construction: Hand-knotted

Material: 100% New Zealand wool

Dimensions: Standard sizes available online, with fully custom sizes on request

Pile Height: 0.5"

Origin: Handmade in Bhadohi, India — a region renowned for fine carpet weaving

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. It also takes dye deeply, which is what gives the colors their depth. Some initial shedding is normal and settles within the first few weeks. Why New Zealand wool →

Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen with use. Vacuum regularly on a high-pile setting. Clip loose ends with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning recommended.

See our rug care guide for more tips.

Placing a Geometric Rug Runner in a Hallway

A geometric rug earns its place in a narrow room by giving the floor a clear line to follow, and Golden Harmony does exactly that. Its centered ladder of dashes runs with the length of a hallway or kitchen galley, leading the eye toward the far end rather than breaking the space into segments. Leave a few inches of floor on either side so the deeper border reads as a frame, and the warm gold field will keep a windowless corridor feeling soft and lit. In a long run, the repeating marks set a calm, even pace underfoot.

Hand-knotting is what makes this work at runner scale. Each knot is tied by hand around the foundation, building a dense, durable surface with a firm low pile that holds the small horizontal dashes without blurring them, even after years of daily passage. That density is also why a knotted runner ages so gracefully in the busiest paths of a home.
