Oasis is a green and purple shag rug drawn as a set of broad sweeping arcs, each band widening into the next. They open from a core that sits past the lower edge of the rug, so the curve reads as a fragment of something larger rather than a motif centered on the floor. Deep teal gives way to blush pink, soft lilac-gray, cream, and warm ochre, before the bands release into broad fields of pale green and gentle violet-gray. The long shag pile lets each color melt into the next, so the curves read like ripples spreading across water rather than crisp lines. Natural fringe finishes each end, left from the warp the rug is knotted on. It has the relaxed, layered feel a boho rug is wanted for. Designed in New York and hand-knotted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a deep 1.5 inch pile that gives the surface its plush, sink-in softness.
