Product Care FAQs
How Do I Flatten My Rug?
Your rug may arrive rolled or folded depending on the size and material. If it doesn't lay flat right away, unroll it and let it rest for a few days. Placing heavy objects (like books) on the corners can help speed up the process. For stubborn creases, gently reverse-roll the rug or try laying it in the sun for a short period to soften the backing.
Can I Vacuum My Rug?
Yes — regular vacuuming helps maintain the texture and longevity of your rug. We recommend using a vacuum without a beater bar or with the roller turned off to avoid pulling at the fibers. For shag or high-pile styles, use suction only and avoid vigorous back-and-forth motion. For full details, visit our Rug Care Guide.
Can I Use Your Rugs in Kitchens or Bathrooms?
Our wool rugs can be used in kitchens or bathrooms with proper care, but keep in mind they are not water-resistant. In high-moisture areas, we recommend using a rug pad underneath and ensuring the space is well ventilated. Avoid placing rugs where they’ll be exposed to standing water or frequent spills.
Can I Use My Rug Outdoors?
Our standard wool rugs are intended for indoor use. However, we are able to make rugs using outdoor-safe materials upon request. If you’re looking for a custom rug designed for outdoor use, please reach out to us and we’ll be happy to discuss options.
How Do I Care for My Blanket?
All of our blankets are machine washable. We recommend washing them in cold water on a gentle cycle, then laying them flat or hanging to air dry. Avoid using high heat or tumble drying, as it may affect the texture over time.
