New Zealand wool, dyed to your palette.

Hand-tufted rugs are made by working yarn through a stretched canvas, then shearing and sculpting the pile by hand. The result is a dense, soft surface with clean edges to every shape, and the freedom to carve texture into the design.

Harlequin is hand-tufted to order in Jubi’s Bhadohi studio. Its 100% New Zealand wool is dyed to the palette you choose, then the finished rug is bound and checked by hand before it ships.

Choosing a Shape and Palette for a Diamond Rug in the Jubi Customizer

A diamond rug changes character with its outline, and Harlequin shows it in the Jubi Customizer. On a rectangle the diagonal lattice runs edge to edge and the diamonds meet the border in clean half-shapes. Turn it into a round or an oval and the curve cuts through the field at a new point every few inches, so the rhythm reads looser and more playful. A square holds the pattern in even balance, and a runner lines the diamonds up into a march that pulls a hallway forward. Whatever the shape, you enter the dimensions to the inch and the rows re-flow to fill them, each diamond keeping its proportion.

Palette is the second decision, and here it comes in two parts: the ground and the diamonds each take their own wool, so the contrast between them sets the mood. Keep the warm chestnut-and-caramel start for a close-toned floor, or open the gap with custom colors: a pale ground under dark diamonds for a graphic lattice, or two near tones for something softer.
