Tile is a tile rug in the most literal sense: even squares raised in relief, each framed by a grout line sunk into shadow. In the Jubi Customizer you start from the Clay colorway, enter exact dimensions down to the inch, pick a shape, and set the palette with custom colors for the two parts of the design: the tile and the grid. New dimensions do not enlarge the squares. The grid adds rows and columns to fill the footprint, so a 5 by 8 and a 9 by 12 carry tiles of the same size. Arch, corner, rectangle, round, oval, square, and runner are all built in. Fifty-five colors are curated for online customization, and more than 3,000 are available through the studio.
Designed in New York and hand-tufted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.75 inch pile, carved so each square stands above its grout line. Production takes 2 to 3 weeks, and it ships free worldwide, duties included.
