Zig Zag is a chevron wool rug reduced to one thick cream ribbon climbing a black ground in wide switchbacks, doubling back on itself like a brush stroke that never lifts. In the Jubi Customizer you start from the Black and Cream colorway, enter exact dimensions down to the inch, and choose custom colors for its two layers, the front ribbon and the back ground. Give the design new dimensions and the ribbon keeps its width while the switchbacks lengthen or add a turn, so a 4 by 6 and a 9 by 12 read as the same gesture. The design is built in one shape, the rectangle. Fifty-five colors are curated for online customization, and more than 3,000 are available through the studio.
Designed in New York and hand-tufted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.75 inch pile, carved along the ribbon's edge so the cream stands clear. Production takes 2 to 3 weeks, and it ships free worldwide, duties included.
