This ivory runner uses a linked octagon pattern to create a clean, continuous layout with subtle dimension. The contrast between the warm taupe shapes and the lighter ground keeps the geometry defined while still reading soft in a room. Hand-knotted in wool with a dense, durable feel.

Construction: Hand-knotted

Material: 100% New Zealand wool

Dimensions: Standard sizes available online, with fully custom sizes on request

Pile Height: 0.5"

Origin: Handmade in Bhadohi, India — a region renowned for fine carpet weaving

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. It also takes dye deeply, which is what gives the colors their depth. Some initial shedding is normal and settles within the first few weeks. Why New Zealand wool →

Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen with use. Vacuum regularly on a high-pile setting. Clip loose ends with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning recommended.

See our rug care guide for more tips.

Opening Up a Hallway with an Ivory Geometric Runner Rug

An ivory geometric runner rug makes a narrow passage feel wider and brighter than it is. Octagon Link works in the runner format because its linked octagons give a long run a clear rhythm to follow, and the ivory reading keeps that rhythm light, so the pattern adds structure without darkening a hall that may already be short on daylight. Ivory pairs with almost anything, from pale oak to deep walnut trim, which makes a runner like this an easy fit for an entry hall or a galley kitchen, and it brightens the whole length of the run.

Hand-knotting gives the long format its durability. Each knot is tied by hand and trimmed to a low, dense pile, the construction that holds up to daily traffic while keeping the ivory octagons and links crisp from one end to the other, even where a pale rug works hardest.
