14 Foot Runner Rugs: The Long Gallery Corridor

A 14-foot runner is unambiguously a long-format piece. It serves gallery halls in larger homes, extended corridors that connect wings of an estate, open staircases with generous treads and a longer rise, and commercial passages where a substantial run of corridor needs a cohesive floor treatment. At this length, the runner is as much an architectural element as it is a floor covering — it defines the axis of a long space in a way that shorter runners simply can't.

The Rolling Tides Shag Hand-Knotted Wool Runner at 14 feet brings the deep organic wave movement at a length where the pattern fully develops — the undulation reads as a sustained design feature across the full corridor.
