Few shapes draw as clean a line as a black oval rug, an inky, matte field whose long curve reads crisply against a pale floor and whose dark ground steadies any furniture set on top of it. The black is true and deep with a soft, velvety nap that absorbs light, so the surface looks warm up close and graphic from across the room. Designed in New York and hand-tufted to order in our Bhadohi studio in India, the rug is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.75 inch pile that softens footsteps and gives the dark field its cushioned depth. The oval frames a round coffee table, a pair of lounge chairs, or the length of a bed with no corners pointing into a walkway, and it gives a minimal room a strong outline without any pattern. It is made to order in any size, including oversized. Production takes 2 to 3 weeks, and shipping is free worldwide, duties included.

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen over time. Vacuum regularly with suction only (brushless head, no beater bar). If loose ends appear, clip with scissors (do not pull). Shipping: Tufted rugs are handmade to order and typically take 2–3 weeks to produce and dispatch. Once shipped, delivery takes 3–5 business days via DHL Express. We offer complimentary worldwide shipping on all rugs.

Yes. Every design is available in custom sizes and a curated range of wool colorways through our online customizer, or contact our studio for exact dimensions and access to over 1,200 wool colors.

When will my rug ship?

Tufted rugs ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Every rug is handmade to order.

What is the return policy?

Rugs ordered in standard sizes and colorways as shown on our product pages are eligible for return within 15 days of delivery in original condition. Rugs ordered with any customization are final sale.

Are shipping and duties included?

Will my rug look exactly like the photos?

Every rug is handmade, so slight variations in color and texture are natural. Screen settings can also affect how colors appear. Order a sample to see the color and feel the wool in your space.
