One even field of warm, sand-toned tan with a soft golden cast makes up this light brown oval rug, the color holding steady everywhere inside the curve. The oval keeps the long reach of a rectangle and gives up the corners, so it follows a run of furniture while leaving the walkways at either side clear, and in this tan the curve reads as warm ground under everything above it. Pale wood, rust textiles, and black metal all pair with it. Designed in New York and hand-tufted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.75 inch pile that cushions the floor for sitting as well as walking and softens the sound of the room. Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen over time. Vacuum regularly with suction only (brushless head, no beater bar). If loose ends appear, clip with scissors (do not pull). How a Light Brown Oval Rug Softens a Narrow Room

A long, narrow room tends to read as a corridor, and an oval is one of the simpler ways to soften that. Run its long axis with the room and the rounded ends leave the corners open, so the eye travels around the rug instead of down the walls.
