A rust and cream textured wool rug, Canyon Strata lays short strokes of rust, terracotta, and gray across a cream ground, all running the same way, like the bands in a rock wall. A few strokes deepen almost to black. The cream keeps the surface light, the rust warms it, and the gray stops the warmth from tipping sweet, so the rug carries color and still behaves like a neutral.

Designed in New York and hand-tufted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.75 inch pile, dense and cushioned underfoot. Canyon works with leather, walnut, linen, and black metal, and with both warm white and gray walls, under a sofa group, a dining table, or a bed. Made to order in the size your room needs.

Each piece is ready in 3 to 4 weeks and ships free worldwide, duties included.

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen over time. Vacuum regularly with suction only (brushless head, no beater bar). If loose ends appear, clip with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning only. See our rug care guide for more tips.

Shipping: Tufted rugs are handmade to order and typically take 3–4 weeks to produce and dispatch. Once shipped, delivery takes 3–5 business days via DHL Express. We offer complimentary worldwide shipping on all rugs.

Yes. Every design is available in custom sizes and a curated range of wool colorways through our online customizer, or contact our studio for exact dimensions and access to over 1,200 wool colors.

When will my rug ship?

Tufted rugs ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Every rug is handmade to order.

What is the return policy?

Rugs ordered in standard sizes and colorways as shown on our product pages are eligible for return within 15 days of delivery in original condition. Rugs ordered with any customization are final sale.

Are shipping and duties included?

Yes. All rugs ship free worldwide with all duties and tariffs included.

Will my rug look exactly like the photos?

Every rug is handmade, so slight variations in color and texture are natural. Screen settings can also affect how colors appear. Order a sample to see the color and feel the wool in your space.

Using a Rust Textured Wool Rug as a Warm Neutral

Rust is one of the easiest strong colors to live with, because it sits close to the tones already in most rooms: wood floors, leather, brick, terracotta pots. A rust textured wool rug takes that a step further by breaking the color into strokes. On Canyon Strata, rust and terracotta share the surface with cream and gray, so the floor takes on warmth in small measures.

That mix makes the rug a bridge. Cream upholstery picks up the ground, a leather chair picks up the rust, and gray stone or concrete finds the gray strokes. Add one or two smaller pieces in the same family, such as a cushion or a ceramic lamp, and the room reads as planned.

The surface is hand-tufted. Artisans in Bhadohi set New Zealand wool through a stretched foundation by hand, then shear it to an even 0.75 inch pile, dense and soft underfoot.
