A blue gray textured wool rug on a ground of sand and stone, Flint Strata is crossed by short strokes of slate blue, soft gray, and the occasional line of charcoal, all running the same way. The blues sit low in the mix, so the rug stays a neutral from across the room and shows its color as you come closer. No two strokes match, and they gather and thin across the field like layers in rock.

Designed in New York and hand-tufted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a 0.75 inch pile, dense and cushioned underfoot. Flint carries warm and cool tones together, which lets it sit with oak or walnut, black steel, white plaster, and denim or navy upholstery alike, under a bed, a dining table, or a full seating group. Made to order in your exact dimensions.

Each piece is ready in 3 to 4 weeks and ships free worldwide, duties included.

New Zealand wool is naturally stain-resistant and springs back underfoot — footprints and furniture marks lift rather than settling in. Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen over time. Vacuum regularly with suction only (brushless head, no beater bar). If loose ends appear, clip with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning only. See our rug care guide for more tips.

Shipping: Tufted rugs are handmade to order and typically take 3–4 weeks to produce and dispatch. Once shipped, delivery takes 3–5 business days via DHL Express. We offer complimentary worldwide shipping on all rugs.

Yes. Every design is available in custom sizes and a curated range of wool colorways through our online customizer, or contact our studio for exact dimensions and access to over 1,200 wool colors.

When will my rug ship?

Tufted rugs ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Every rug is handmade to order.

What is the return policy?

Rugs ordered in standard sizes and colorways as shown on our product pages are eligible for return within 15 days of delivery in original condition. Rugs ordered with any customization are final sale.

Are shipping and duties included?

Yes. All rugs ship free worldwide with all duties and tariffs included.

Will my rug look exactly like the photos?

Every rug is handmade, so slight variations in color and texture are natural. Screen settings can also affect how colors appear. Order a sample to see the color and feel the wool in your space.

A Textured Wool Rug Between Warm and Cool

Most rooms mix temperatures without meaning to: warm wood floors, cool gray stone, a blue sofa, brass hardware. A textured wool rug with both in its surface gives those pieces common ground. Flint Strata sets strokes of slate blue and gray into a sand and stone base, so warm furniture finds the sand and cool furniture finds the blue.

It also reads differently by distance. From the doorway the strokes blend into a soft blue gray. Up close each one separates, some pale, some deep, a few nearly charcoal. That shift gives a large floor something to offer at every range, and the broken surface absorbs footprints and the odd mark.

The rug is hand-tufted. Artisans in Bhadohi set New Zealand wool through a stretched foundation by hand, then shear it to an even 0.75 inch pile, dense and soft underfoot.
