This black shag rug is the most absolute color the design offers, and the pile is the only thing standing between it and a void. Because the wool is long, what you actually read is direction rather than color: the strands catch a thin line of light along their length and lie in shadow beneath, so the surface shows where the pile falls and how it has been walked. Pale natural fringe at each end is optional. Designed in New York and hand-knotted in Bhadohi, India, it is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a deep 1.5 inch pile that is dense and soft underfoot. Made to order in any size, so the black can define a full room or sit as a small, deliberate accent. Each rug is ready in 5 to 6 weeks and ships free worldwide, duties included.

Care: Shedding is normal and will lessen with use. Vacuum regularly on a high-pile setting. Clip loose ends with scissors (do not pull). Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean, white cloth (do not rub). Professional cleaning recommended.
